Super Aguri have said they are keen to keep their driver line-up unchanged for the 2008 season. Takuma Sato has been a strong performer for the team this season, collecting 4 points for the team, and is strongly tipped to retain his seat.
Less certain is Anthony Davidson who has failed to score any points for the team, but has put in some excellent performances most notably qualifying in 11th place for the Turkish Grand Prix. Unlike a lot of the drivers at the back of the field, Davidson does not pull in much sponsorship money
“We want to keep the same drivers,†Daniele Audetto, managing director of Super Aguri remarked. “That is our aim. We are very happy with the job they are doing.â€
“It is nice to know the team are happy with you,†Davidson commented. “I am happy with what they are doing and if I am happy, then everyone else should be as well.â€
It is possible that Davidson will be replaced by Spaniard Alejandro Agag as it has been reported that Super Aguri have strong links to the driver. When questioned, Audetoo said, “Honestly, I don t see today a Spanish driver ready for F1 next year. Maybe with a good F1 testing, he could be there for 2009. But not yet.â€
