South Korea make it onto 2010 calendar

South Korea will host its first ever F1 race next season, it has been announced. The country will stage the event on the weekend of the 17th October.

The addition of Korea makes for 19 races scheduled for next season, two more than this year. The return of Canada to the calendar is also hotly anticipated, although it is understood a final agreement is yet to be sealed between Bernie Ecclestone and the Canadian race authorities.

The long schedule -from mid-March to mid-November – is unlikely to please the teams, who have long bemoaned the length of the season.
