Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has paid tribute to his driver Sebastian Vettel as the latter recovers from the disappointment of having lost the world championship on Sunday.
Horner said that Vettel had proved himself time and time again over the course of the season and was a definite future world champion.
“I am sure Sebastian, for someone of such young age, is a world champion of the future. We have learned a lot of lessons from this season, and we will only get stronger as a group.”
Horner said that he was confident Red Bull Racing would be able to continue at the high level they have attained this season.
“I don’t see any reason why we won’t be able to build on the continuity and success that we have enjoyed this year, but for sure we have got some formidable opponents.”
“We must remember that we are still an independent team and I think the team can be very proud of what it has achieved this year. As I said, we will only get stronger as a group going into next year.”
