Switzerland may host a Grand Prix once again, as Bernie Ecclestone welcomed news of the lifting of a fifty year long ban on Motorsport. In an interview with the Sonntags Zeitung newspaper, Ecclestone called the lifting of the ban a ‘good decision’.
“I am pleased about it — we would be very happy to have a Formula One race in Switzerland,” said the CEO of Formula One Management and Formula One Administration.
The Swiss politician, Ulrich Giezendanner, who fought to lift the ban, welcomed the surprising statement, “I did not expect that, but of course I am very pleased about these sorts of statements.”
