Former F1 driver Robert Doornbos is reported to have signed a deal with Renault to perform demonstration duties for them.
The 26 year old Dutchman has participated in 11 Formula One Grand Prix for Minardi and Red Bull between 2005 and 2006. Despite talk that Renault are on the verge of dropping Piquet from his race-seat, Doornbos s management have denied that his contract has any connections with the struggling race-driver.
According to some reports, Doornbos could be in the seat of the Renault as early as this Friday at a one-day test for Renault at Silverstone.
