Robert Doornbos has admitted that his drive to land a seat at Toro Rosso in 2007 has hurt his friendship with Liuzzi and Speed.
“I have stated in interviews I am faster than them both,” he explained. “And perhaps as a result we did not become the best of friends. I still target a race seat at Toro Rosso, but I also keep my other options open. One of them is to test at Red Bill and combine it with racing in the US. Hopefully I can soon tell you more about my definite plans for 2007.”
