Alex Wurz has admitted that his team-mate Nico Rosberg is currently the stronger driver in the Williams team. Wurz returned to the Formula One grid this season having spend the last six years as a test driver.
However, in the first four races of the 2007 season, he has yet to score a point, leading him to the admission that, “At the moment, Nico is stronger.” In all four races so far, Rosberg has been able to outpace his Austrian team-mate in qualifying.
Wurz is not worried though. “Nico sets a very high benchmark but that is good motivation for me,” he explained. He went on to explain that he didn’t feel that Rosberg’s quicker pace was threatening his position at Williams. “They know exactly the job that I do for them.”
