Webber and Red Bull take standings lead

Mark Webber and Red Bull have leap-frogged into the lead of both the drivers’ and constructors’ championship thanks to their win and third place for Sebastian Vettel in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton retains second place in the drivers’ table despite having scored no points in Eastern Europe, retiring with a suspected transmission failure.

It is very tight at the top with a mere 20 points covering the top five drivers. With 25 points for a race win it leaves the championship well-balanced as the sport takes its summer break.
