Ferrari dominated Tuesday s test session at Valencia, with Felipe Massa eventually ending the day at the top of the timesheets over half a second clear of his team-mate.
The Williams FW30 was the surprise of the day, impressing people around the paddock with it s pace with Nico Rosberg finishing the day with the third quickest time, two tenths of a second ahead of both McLaren s of Heikki Kovalainen and Pedro de la Rosa.
Toyota s new car disappointed, with both Trulli and Glock down the bottom of the timesheets. The team are currently testing some aerodynamics and small changes within the car and are hoping to make significant improvements before the start of the season.
The day saw four red flags. Two were caused by Nick Heidfeld when first, he stopped on the track, and then later went off-track. Felipe Massa caused one red flag when he ran out of fuel, and Alonso broke down towards the end of the session, causing the final red flag.
