McLaren have changed their MP4-22’s bodywork in the hope that it will give them the edge needed to keep pace with the Ferrari team. Although the McLaren team is sitting 5 points clear of Ferrari in the constructor’s championship this season, many believe that the F2007 is the quicker of the two cars.
“The updated package is not aesthetically very different,” Martin Whitmarsh commented. “But we hope to bring a winning car to Barcelona.”
Recent photographs and reports show that the MP4-22 has changes to the rear wing, sidepode chimneys and barge boards. Gary Paffett has already been out in the car, testing out the changes to the aerodynamics.
