Trust International are returning to Formula 1 after a three year absence by sponsoring Spyker F1 for the 2007 season. Trust International were last seen three years ago with Jordan.
Trust International are already on good terms with Christijan Albers – the Dutch company sponsored him whilst he was driving in the DTM. Trust International are an independent Dutch company with 20 years experience of manufacturing affordable products with advanced technology aimed at consumer IT and portable peripheral markets.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Trust Internationl, Michel Perridon, has said, “We are very happy to have closed this sponsorship deal with the Spyker F1 Team. Trust has a long history in sponsoring Formula 1 teams. In 2003 Trust became official sponsor of Jos Verstappen racing for the Minardi F1 team. As this turned out to be very positive for our company, Trust continued it’s presence in Formula 1 by sponsoring the Jordan Grand Prix Team in 2004. In that same year, Trust also became sponsor of the Mercedes-AMG DTM team, with Dutchman Christijan Albers as one of the successful drivers. When Chris joined the new Dutch-owned Formula 1 team of Spyker in September this year, the decision to return into Formula 1 was easily taken; Trust always supported Dutch drivers in F1 and continues to do this. And with the new Ferrari V8 engines and tremendous motivation of the Spyker F1 team, we have very high expectations for 2007!”
