Adrian Sutil continued to demonstrate Force India’s pace in Monza after topping the timesheets for the second time this weekend in final practice ahead of qualifying.
The German, who set the pace on Friday with the quickest time in practice two, traded laptimes with McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton throughout the session despite running on the harder tyres.
When Sutil switched to the quicker softer tyres he posted a 1:23.336 to take the top spot, but slow first and second sectors suggest he has more time in hand.
Jenson Button slotted into second place in the closing stages ahead of Nick Heidfeld, Rubens Barrichello and the two McLaren drivers.
