Rumours have been raised about the safety of Super Aguri’s new race car. It has been reported that the 2007 car has failed the FIA crash test.
Super Aguri’s car, thought to be called the ‘SA07’, is based on Honda’s RA106 from last season, with chassis modifications to the cockpit sides and read-end structure. However it is thought that the SA07 passed the front impact test, but failed the rear impact test.
The failure could see the launch of the car pushed back until late February to enable engineers to modify the car so that it passes all the impact testing.
