Both Spyker F1 And Williams will be absent from the Bahrain testing next month according to the Sakhir circuit’s general manager, Martin Whitaker. Speaking at a press conference, he announced that only nine of the eleven teams would be present at the February testing sessions.
This is still a huge improvement on last year when only three teams – Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Honda – turned up. The 2007 Bahrain Grand Prix will take place in mid-April. Whitaker has said that the motorsport has already had a positive impact on the local economy, bringing in around $600 million already.
