Teams have approved the lighting system for the Singapore Grand Prix, Formula One s first ever night race which will take place next month.
According to the Channel NewsAsia, representatives of each of the F1 teams inspected the circuit, including the lighting arrangements. 1,500 projectors have been setup along the 5km street course meaning that when switched on, the illumination will be five times that of a football stadium s lights.
The race is also proving popular it has been reported that over 95 percent of tickets for the first ever Singapore Grand Prix have already been sold, indicating that the event will be a sell-out.
