FerrariMichael Schumacher attended the Fiorano circuit to watch the Ferrari F2007 make its debut today.

Schumacher, reportedly earning $6m as Jean Todt’s ‘Super-Assistant’, watched Massa put the new car through its paces alongside Kimi Raikkonen. Ferrari’s President Luca di Montezemolo commended Schumacher on his continued motivation within the team, “it’s impressive to see Michael so concentrated on his new role.”

Despite foggy conditions early on, the young Brazilian completed 39 laps with a fastest lap time of 58.360, over a second faster than the 59.569 Schumacher posted almost a year ago today at the same circuit. Ferrari will continue testing at their other facility in Mugello later in the week.
