Takuma Sato has denied overtaking under yellow flag conditions during the Indianapolis Grand Prix last weekend. If found guilty, Sato could face losing ten grid places at the French Grand Prix in July.
After the US GP had finished, Sato pleaded not guilty and pointed the finger at Jenson Button who eventually finished 12th for Honda. When asked about the incident, Sato said “Jenson was overtaking me, so I wasn’t overtaking at that time. But it was a shame. The race was looking good up to that point. It wasn’t a great day for me.”
Super Aguri have so far embarrassed Honda by scoring four points this seasons against their parent’s team total of zero.
