Renault have unveiled their new car, the R29, at the Autodromo Nacional do Algarve today. The car features a striking colour scheme, with new fuel supplier Total bringing a bright red to the car s existing yellow (for Renault) and orange (for main sponsor ING) livery.
Team boss Flavio Briatore was photographed with his two race drivers, Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr, in a muted presentation at the Portuguese circuit. Renault also announced that highly-rated test driver Romain Grosjean would be retained for the upcoming season.
Renault are believed to be ready to use their KERS at the first race, unlike other teams, who are reported to be undecided on the issue.
