Rain spoiled the final day of this week s testing at Barcelona. Red Bull driver Mark Webber was the driver who used the conditions to his advantage and on a drying track, produced the quickest time of the day. The morning saw a heavy downpour, hampering all the drivers. The afternoon saw the sun come out and the track dried enough for Webber to put in a time of 1:21.95, just over 1.5 seconds ahead of the McLaren of Heikki Kovalainen.
For the first time this week, all the drivers ran on the same tyres, intermediates no surprise given the weather conditions. Three teams were absent from the running Toro Rosso, who were unable to rebuild their STR3 in time following Bourdais crash yesterday, Force India who chose not to run their car in the rain, and Super Aguri who have been absent all week.
There was just the one red flag during the test session when Kazuki Nakajima s engine blew late in the day.
