Publisher buys rights to Hamilton’s story

An international publishing house is set to publish a book based on Lewis Hamilton s life story so far.

HarperCollins, a publishing house owned by Rupert Murdoch s News Corporation, is reported to have paid a seven figure advance to the young McLaren driver for his story. HarperCollins are hoping to release Lewis Hamilton: My Story early in November.

“We have paid a substantial sum but are very confident that the Lewis Hamilton book will sell extremely well,” HarperCollins’ senior publicity director Jane Beaton remarked.  “Lewis has had an unbelievable year.”

Lewis Hamilton has surpassed most peoples expectations in his rookie season in Formula 1. After 12 Grand Prix starts he has managed three wins, seven podiums and four pole positions, all of which leaves him leading the world championship by five points, just ahead of second placed man, team-mate Fernando Alonso.
