Prodrive name first Director

Formula 1’s new team for 2008, Prodrive, have made their first personnel announcement. Tony Schulp, formally with sports publisher Haymarket, has been appointed as Prodrive’s Commerical Director and will formally take up his post at the end of March.

A statement released by Prodrive said, “This is a new role within Prodrive which will see him overseeing the company’s commercial strategy for its global $250 million motorsport and automotive technology businesses.”

Prodrive chief, David Richards, said, “I believe he is just what Prodrive needs at this important stage in our development, when we are about to embark on perhaps our greatest venture yet.”
