Prodrive’s boss, David Richards, has said that they will reveal their chassis and engine partner within “the next three months”. The Prodrive team was selected by the FIA last year to become the 12th team to take part in the 2008 World Championship.
Richards also said that he intends to take advantage of the contraversial new Formula 1 rules next year and buy a complete Formula 1 car from a rival. He is also hoping to announce some “key appointments” to the team in the coming weeks. However, they have not made any decisions as to the drivers for the team – the decision will be made after they finalise the details of the partner team as there may be driver tie-ins in place. The partner team is strongly rumoured to be McLaren-Mercedes.
