New sponsor for Williams?

Williams F1It is believed that Williams have signed a new sponsorship deal with AirAsia for the next three years, although no official announcements have been made. It is believed that the official confirmation will be unveiled on Thursday, and the FW29s will include the AirAsia logos on their nose cones.

The airline already supports English football team Manchester United, and will join other airline sponsors Etihad Airways (who sponsor Spyker) and Kingfisher Airlines (Toyota).

Despite their poor performance in 2006, this is the latest in a string of sponsorship deals that Williams have clinched, showing that people still have faith in the ex-Formula 1 champions.
