According to Italian sports paper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari and Microsoft have signed a deal together. The deal will allow Microsoft to develop technology to manage the data transfer between Grand Prix circuits and Ferrari’s headquarters at Maranello.
This deal increases Microsoft’s interest in the motorsport – least season it was announced that Microsoft would be working in partnership with McLaren Electronic Systems and would supply all Formula 1 teams with standard electronics from 2008 until 2010.
