Melbourne ‘curtain-raiser’ event

State tourism minister in Australia, Tim Holding, has announced a Ferrari Festival. Stood in fron of two sparkling Ferraris, and four scantily clad girls, Holding announced that on March 3rd, a festival will be held in Lygon Street in Melbourne’s Italian district,  as a ‘curtain raiser’ to this year’s Melbourne Grand Prix.

Ferrari will be letting one of their F1 cars drive down Lygon Street, although it will be restricted to 60 km/h. Approximately 15,000 people are expected to attend the event. The Australian Grand Prix Corportation will also be setting up Formula 1 simulators around the area to “enable budding race drivers to experience first hand the thrill of being behind the wheel of the world’s fastest cars.”
