Spanish daily sports paper Marca has claimed it has got a picture of McLaren’s secret new 2007 livery. The claim that is it this year’s MP4-21 car with de la Rosa at the wheel and it was caught whilst filming for a new television advertisement for their new sponsors, Vodafone.
A McLaren spokesperson though said it is only a livery try-out. However it looks like the new McLaren will have a livery very similar to the Marca picture. It is reported that silver and chrome will still be highly visible because of the Mercedes influence, but red will feature prominently on the engine cover thanks to the new deal with Vodafone.
The finalised paint-job will be unveiled in Valencia, mid-January.
