McLaren poach another Renault man

McLaren have lured a top aerodynamicist away from Renault to help them build a winning car for their new driver Alonso. According to television station RTL, Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau, who worked with Alonso during his four year stint at Renault, is coming to Working to help McLaren prepare the MP4-22 for Alonso’s ‘unique driving style’. Hennel de Beaupreau has also worked for Ross Brawn at Ferrari.

Previous McLarens – for Raikkonen, Montoya and Coulthard – have been ‘neutral’ cars, however Alonso prefers a stiffer setup and a can which tends towards oversteer.
