Felipe Massa thinks that it is only luck that he has been missing this season. Massa is currently lying in fifth place in the 2007 championship, 11 points shy of early leader Fernando Alonso.
“I feel that something is missing at the moment,” Massa said. “A bit of luck here – now hopefully we can put everything together.”
A gearbox failure in Australia qualifying meant changing his engine meaning he had to start from the back of the grid. Impatience in Malaysia meant he made a mistake when trying to overtake Hamilton, losing time and finishing the race in fifth. However Massa is confident that luck will be back on his side in time for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“I feel positive,” Massa exclaimed. “We had very good testing here before the start of the season – we had a good pace and the car was behaving quite well. I think we have a good car, a good package, and a good team. Even if something was missing in the first two races, it is just the first two races. We still have a lot of races to go!”
