With France looking set to rejoin the F1 calendar in 2013, it is currently unclear which circuit will be hosting the F1 race.
Initial reports hinted that the Paul Ricard circuit would be hosting the returning French Grand Prix however TV channel France 3 has suggested that Magny Cours mat also be un the running.
Magny Cours hosted the French Grand Prix for nearly two decades up until 2008. According to Le Journal du Centre, the presidents of the conseil general of the Nievre department Patrice Joly has said that a proposed theme park nearby, which would cost EUR 50 million to build, would help to raise enough funds to develop the surrounding area and allow F1 back to the racetrack.
