Kovalainen had a good weekend in Montreal, finishing fourth and bringing home some much needed points for the Renault team. Briatore is so happy with the young driver’s performance that he is looking to get rid of him – according to Speed TV’s “The Speed Report“, Briatore has approached Frank Williams to discuss if they would like Kovalainen to transfer across to Williams for the remainder of the 2007 season. It is now known who Kovalainen would replace if he transferred across, nor what sort of price would be put on the deal.
