Christian Klien is still looking for a seat in Formula 1 next season. He has had several meetings with Spyker in a bid to become Christijan Alber’s team-mate however he is also talking to Honda in a bid to become their test driver. Klien is interested in taking over from Anthony Davidson, who looks set to partner Takuma Sato at Super Aguri in 2007.
Klien explained, “Honda is one of the most successful companies in the history of Formula 1. Of course I would be very happy to work for this ambitious team”. Honda’s vice-president Otmar Szafnauer has also confirmed that they are in talks with Klien. Johannes Klien, christian’s father and manager, has confirmed that a decision will be announced that Christian will know his 2007 fate in the next few days.
Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello have already been confirmed as Honda’s drivers for next season.
