Rumours are circulating that Flavio Briatore is interested in buying Italian Serie A club Parma FC. The bidding process for new buyers for the club began yesterday. The club was forced into administration three years ago when then-owners Parmalat filed for bankruptcy.
However Briatore has strenuously denied any interest and has released a statement stating that “an interest on my part in participating in the acquisition of Parma FC, I intend to point out that it’s absolutely false. I have never had the intention of buying Parma FC and such a project absolutely doesn’t figure in my present or future plans.”
