Although F1 team HRT have just been bought by Thesan Capital, there are rumours that the team could change hands again in the near future.
According to some newspapers, Spanish basketball player Pau Gasol, famous for playing with the LA Lakers, is interested in buying the team. The reports say that Gasol has an opportunity to snap up HRT for EUR 48 million given that investment group Thesan has not yet formalised its deal.
As an existing small shareholder, Gasol – through his rights management company Wasermann Media Group and with links to Chinese company Erdos – reportedly has the right of first refusal until August 22.
