Honda’s new signing

HondaHonda have signed a contract with Mike Conway and promised him a Formula 1 test later in the year. In a statement, Honda have said, “At the same time as competing in the GP2 series, Mike will have the opportunity to steadily integrate himself into the workings of a top Formula One team.”

Mike Conway is currently British Formula 3 champion and will be competing in the 2007 GP2 series. He won the Macau Grand Prix in November 2006 and won the Formula Renault championship in 2004.

Honda F1 sporting director Gil de Ferran is clearly pleased with his signing. “Mike has clearly demonstrated his potential and talent throughout his career in the various junior formulas with a great deal of success,” he commented.
