The FIA has released the 2010 Formula One Championship entry list. 12 teams appear on the entry list including Virgin Racing, confirming the takeover of the Manor Grand Prix team, although the deal has yet to be fully confirmed.
With Toyota and the FIA still debating whether the Japanese team have breached their contract, Sauber are currently absent on the list until the issue is resolved – Sauber were intending to take over the Toyota F1 operation however Toyota may be forced to sell their Formula One outfit to avoid being fined. The 13th and final spot on the 2010 grid is therefore still in question and until the FIA and Toyota have come to an agreement over the breach of contract question, the 13th team will not be confirmed.
Should Toyota sell their outfit to one of the new teams, Sauber may still be in with a chance of being on the grid if the all the other competitors agree to a 14th entry being opened up.
