Marco Andretti, son of former McLaren driver, Michael, and grandson of the 1978 World Champion, Mario, will test at the final winter session for Honda in Jerez next week.
The 19-year-old who was ‘Rookie of the year’ in the IndyCar Series is said to be delighted with a chance to break in the door of F1.
‘I am thrilled Honda has offered me this incredible opportunity. As you would expect of any racing driver, when Honda offered me the chance to drive, I grabbed it with both hands – no hesitation.’

James Rossiter and Christian Klien have already been confirmed as test drivers for the coming season but the ‘RA106’ will be waiting for Andretti on Dec 15th to test.
