Red Bull’s test driver, Robert Doornbos, has split with his manager Marco Zecchi. Zecchi has been Doornbos’ manager since 2003 when Doornbos was still racing in the F3000 series.
Doornbos has stated that the two have parted ways because he wants to race in the ChampCar series this season. Doornbos has made a good start to this ambition, completing a two day test with Minardi Team USA in Houston this week. Doornbos put in some blistering times to finish fourth fastest on his first day of testing.
