Pedro de la Rosa, test driver for McLaren, has stated that there have been no suggestions within the team that McLaren bosses are preparing to terminate Fernando Alonso s contract. De la Rosa has also said that he would advise Ron Dennis to stick with the former double world champion.
“If you ask me what I would do, I would stay,†he explained. “McLaren has proved to be a competitive team and Fernando is a born winner. In the end, you need to be happy with what you are doing.
“No-one at McLaren is saying that Fernando is going to go in fact, everyone is working as if he is going to stay.â€
