Following on from the news yesterday that Formula 1 will have easily identifiable tyres this season, Bridgestone have confirmed that the will be applying a white stripe to the outside wall of it’s option specifications in 2007. This is similar to Champ Car where tyre walls are coloured red.
With four compounds available, and just two compounds used at each event, an option (soft) tyer at one circuit may be the control (hard) tyre at a different circuit.
