BMW retain both drivers for 2008

BMW Sauber have announced that there will be no driver changes for the 2008 season. The announcement means Nick Heidfeld will spend a third season with the team, and will be Polish driver Robert Kubica s second full season with them.

The BMW Sauber team have performed well this season, with Heidfeld taking two podiums so far. BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen has been very happy with the team s performance, hence the decision to keep both drivers on for another season.

“Nick and Robert have delivered very strong performances,” Theissen remarked. “Thanks to Nick s extensive experience, he is making a substantial contribution to the progress of the team. Robert is a rough diamond we want to polish up into a winning driver.”

BMW Sauber have yet to announce their test and reserve drivers for 2008.
