BMW continue rescue talks

BMW has continued its pledge to find a buyer for its Formula One team, after the German manufacturer failed to agree terms with Peter Sauber.

The Swiss-German squad will pull out of Formula One at the end of the season, and with the failure to find a buyer before the Concorde Agreement was signed, the future for the Hinwil squad remains unclear.

However according to Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport, negotiations between BMW and prospective rescuers have since continued.

Quoting a BMW insider, the magazine said “several prospective” buyers are in the frame.

BMW-Sauber currently lie eighth in the World Constructors table.
