Williams and Spyker were missing from a mixed weather day of testing, leaving just 7 teams to post times. Red Bull ended Ferrari’s dominance at the Barcelona track this week with David Coulthard posting the fastest time of the day at 1:21.066. Closely behing him was Pedro de la Rosa in the MP4-22 of McLaren with a time of 1:21.367.
Felipe Massa could only manage third with a time ot 1:21.483, a few tenths slower than team-mate Kimi Raikkonen’s best time earlier in the week. Fisichella, Kubica, Schumacher and Klien were the only other drivers out on track.
After a dry morning, rain returned to the circuit in the afternoon.
