He's onto to something, but only if you also make the point that whilst Madrid picks up most of the flak from being pricey etc, Barcelona are still big spenders and heavy hitters as well. Rather than being some nice well formed team that doesn't need money.

Actually maybe Mclaren would be better of being described as Barcelona.

Redbull as Chelsea?

So Romario,Ronaldo,Ronaldinho,Rivaldo,Figo,Henry,Eto',Ibra, Villa....and all others I cant think of ATM were home grown?? :rolleyes:

For as long as I've watched soccer Barca is as guilty of buying players as the next club,but I agree that the Merenges are the NYY of soccer!!

And lets not forget Maradona :wink:
