Mark Hughes's article last week was all about Alonso and his role as pantomime villain. Ive said before how I admire his writing. Some posters disregard him without ever reading what he says simply because he writes for a British magazine, a bias is assumed.
In this article he puts Alonso's side of the case. He states the tit for tat actions that occured between Alonso and hamilton at Hungary 07 and the lack of understanding of the tabloid sports editors. He talks about stretching the facts around a preferred perspective. He makes a strong and a fair case for Alonso. He almost has me thinking.........almost

Do you have a link to the article, racechick?

Which issue is it? Season Review or december edition.
My January one hasnt arrived yet :(.

Anyway, even as an autosport subscriber i dont take anything Mark Hughes says seriously. He is the most biased writer at Autosport by a mile.

Please dont assume things such as "Ive said before how I admire his writing. Some posters disregard him without ever reading what he says simply because he writes for a British magazine, a bias is assumed."

You really have no idea if they read it or not. Anyone who does read it will know he is genuinly biased and not just because he writes for a british magazine.

I laugh, I guess it's because we only know of the English speaking media but to always talk of Bias whether it be British broadcasters, British news writers, British whatever is totally bullpoo! I can assure you the other side of the fence is much much worse! Spanish Media, Italian Media the bias in those fields is retched.

If you dont like British bias then go learn another language, just be prepared for the bias of that nations own.

Mark Hughes seems to be quite strongly biased to me, I'm just talking about him though, not British journalism in general.

I'd say Andrew Benson (bbc) is excellent. Brundel's quite good as well.

"anyone who does read it will know he is genuinely biased" and yet you dont know which issue the article is in??

Its in the isuue December 30th. He writes in favour of Alonso and against that of the British tabloid sports editors. Take that bias however you like.

Bias in other languages Media doesn’t justify British Media bias. There are us who should try not to be biased.

I don’t know much about this man but naming Lewis Hamilton best 2010 driver, tell a lot about him. Nevertheless I appreciate that someone from the British Media tells the truth about Alonso.

Sorry for my english, i guess what i was trying to say didnt come off clearly. I mean anyone who reads his articles, not that particular article. This is in the context of you saying "some posters disregard him without ever reading what he says". This infers not just that article but all of his writings, thus i responded with "anyone who reads it (his articles) will know he is..."

Also, on a side note, i think its illegal to republish scans of magazine articles, so for the safety of this site i would suggest you PM it to people who would like to see it.
