The Italian press on Monday morning appeared to have forgiven Felipe Massa for throwing away victory at the recent Malaysian grand prix. Massa, 25, said on Sunday that journalists had given him "problems" after Malaysia.
Corriere dello Sport crowned him as the 'desert King' after he proved the pick of the field at Sakhir.
La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote: "The post-Schumacher era is at Massa's feet, because Raikkonen and Alonso disappoint."

I think it's just funny to observe the Italians: up and downs, drama queens all around, la passione can create a lot of heartache

is it passion or stupidity that seperates Italians from the rest?

the cult called Tifosi or Ferrari sheep needs to be stopped! :P

Now, now, I'm sure there are many Aussies that are very passionate about some sort of sport they follow and that they too have a tendency of being drama queens to a certain extent. :)

Speaking about cult: just look at your Alonso Wallpaper and you have the definition of cult. Interesting how your worship allegiance changed from KR to FA...

Well, you actually change your allegiances. I stick with a driver that I like, I don't go for a team. So, if a driver changes his team, I stick with him (if I still like him). Last year you were all for Kimi this, Kimi that - now it's all Alonso. This seems strange to me. I don't know, maybe I'm more focussed on people, personalities rather than an abstract concept of a team (that in itself sees changes all the time as well, so it's not a constant per se either apart from the name and even that can change, see, e.g., Sauber, Spyker, etc.).

I have no real team that's what I'm saying. I may have certain preferences or aversions for some teams, but my heart would not bleed profusely if the constructors title goes to McLaren instead of Ferrari or BMW-Sauber. I go with the driver of my choice wherever he goes teamwise - it doesn't really matter too much to me which one team it eventually is.

Im with you on this one DD, I do have a leaning towards certain drivers and certain teams, but I'm not scared of changing who I support in any way. Being English I like both Button and Hamilton, but I also really like Heidfeld.

But most of all I want to see an exciting race, a real spectacle for everyone to talk about!

well its obvious you have no allegience DD you come from a country that is scared to stick together to fight the good fight! then you go and move to the US :P
following a drivers career in the current F1 format is kinda pointless as if he doesnt have the right TEAM he wont get anywhere. Just like your local Football club while in america i might add they do relocate very often as its more of a business over there no real strong tradition maybe yankees, boston celtics thats about it.
and youre accusing me of having no allegience yet you stick up for Ferrari fans who only follow the Italian team to cultish status yet thats passion?

I'm a cosmopolitan, bud, I'm beyond nationalism, which is most often the root for injustice, war, discrimination, suppression and what not. Much like religions I might add.
