Can Button break his contract mid-season and drive for someone else? I think that he has one year left to show his form before he drops to second division, ie DC etc.

If I was him I'd be looking for an exit. Also, do drivers still have clauses in their contracts to provide themselves with an exit should everything go tits up like this?

If Button left Honda mid-season who of the top teams would ever trust him, and even if they did, where would he go?

What a waste of $20 million (i think) for JB to get out of the contract with Williams. The way Williams are performing now, JB must be sick.

Rumors have it that RS might be shown the door at Toyota. But for JB to go there, it would be from the frying pan into the fire :twisted:

Yes, they did say that they are looking for an experienced driver with an up and coming rookie. Could you say that JB is that driver, he has been in F1 for 7 years. I'll be looking elsewhere.
