Some of the best Aircraft photography available outside of being in another airplane is taken during the Swiss Air Force's display due to the altitude of the training exercises.

Talk about 'Armed Neutrality', a term the Swiss throw around whenever the right wing fears the military budget gets cut due to economic recession, etc.

All F-18's come with arrester hooks.

All air craft carriers come with F-18's ...almost.

Hm, let's see: of the 21 air craft carriers in service at the moment, the following are confirmed to not carry F-18:
Giuseppe Garibaldi (551)
Cavour (550)
INS Viraat
Charles de Gaulle (R91)
HTMS Chakri Naruebet
São Paulo (A12)
HMS Ark Royal (R07)
HMS Illustrious (R06)
Admiral Kuznetsov

I'm pretty sure that Príncipe de Asturias (R-11) doesn't have any F-18s either, but Jack Master might be able to provide more accurate info on that ship...

Of the 11 US carriers, there might be one or two (or more) as well that don't carry F-18s.

So, give up Burnie? :P

With the exception of the Admiral Kuznetsov, you can probably put any of those carriers on the deck of the Ronald Regan. In fact most of our 11 carrier groups are based on the Nimitz class so you'd be able to put them on most of the carriers the US has currently deployed. :D but go ahead do your wiki magic and prove me wrong. I love your teaching style. It's like all I have to do is wonder out loud, and BEHOLD, DD is right there giving me hard facts. hehehe... I said hard.

I'm trying to find something to be happy about here, you know how much of our paychecks goes to fund those carrier groups. Sheesh.

Did a little bit of work and the Príncipe de Asturias has once of those funny looking ramps on it, so it's probably sporting only Harriers or other VTAL craft.

At ease Jack.

They probably use the tail hook to pick up the post without stopping, like railway trains did in the olden days.

You know those Swiss, they just can't resist their multipurpose devices.
