It's that time again, the Ashes tour goes down under. We have a few Aussies on here and a lot of Brits. Let the battle of words begin!

I'll start with, not a great start for the Englishmen, not batted brilliantly, let's hope for a better batting performance to rival Australia's!

For those of you that don't know, I am the "Englishman in Kansas" in case you wondered where my allegiances lie! :P

This isn't the dream team Australia once had but should do ok, England might even win the series!

How many years has it been since England won the Ashes in Australia? It has to be back in the 80s hasn't it?

Definitely going to be a draw, fantastic second innings from England, top three batsmen passing a century, we could have had two double centurions if it wasn't for Strauss' charge down the wicket and completely missing the ball, getting stumped! I'll take a draw after England's disastrous first day, great performance from Peter Siddle though!

Is it on TV over in the states Jason?

No, but I have a UK proxy server set-up; and my father has a Sky TV subscription in the UK, it cost's £10 per month extra on my fathers subscription and I can watch all the Sky channels online, I just have to fool their system that I am in the UK, which is where the proxy in the UK comes in, as far as Sky TV is concerned I am in the UK!

This is probably the first time since Botham played that England has a team which is capable of dominating Australia.....which is a very long time. However, it's been 9 years since England has won a test (not the series) in Australia and even the most one-eyed cricket pundit will concede that playing in Australia over the summer presents "unique" challenges for the touring teams.

Anyway, first test over.....what a disgrace! The last three days of the test produced 2 wickets and about a million runs. For the English media to assert that as a win for the Poms....well they're just plain barking mad. My brother's under-16 team could have scored those runs on that pitch.

and the worst news is that Adelaide's new curator has predicted a "batting paradise"! Looks like more of the same. Bring on Sydney and Melbourne.

For those in the USA wanting to watch online.... this link works well http://www.crictime.tk

I'm at the puB and the whole barmy army is here... I'm getting in a fight haha

It's the Aussie way isn't it? ;) could be worse, in Texas it'd be a gun fight! :P

I'm looking forward to the second test, could be another high scoring one, Adelaide is supposed to be a flat wicket as well, another draw probably?
