Hello,
I just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I’m an American that has become a big F1 fan over the past 2 years. I really hope to learn a lot here and contribute.
A bit about me... I’m not a fan of NASCAR or IRL at all. I’m not that excited about Austin as I think Texas is a terrible place for F1 and I am a bit of a purest and don’t think the sport needs more overtaking like so many Americans do.
I don’t think F1 will ever be popular in the USA and I really don’t care. F1 is an international sport and should be loved in part because of all the different venues its takes place in. It’s also very much about the whole race weekend including practice, qualifying, and then the race. Not just the race by itself. I can’t imaging just watching the race and not at least watching the qualifying too.
Well that’s a little about me and how I feel about the sport after only 2 years of watching it.
Oh and I was not a Vettel fan at all for a long time... But after watching him at Suzuka and hearing his comments both over the team radio and in interviews I’m pretty much a fan. I really think this kid truly loves to drive and race… You can hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes. I’m happy he won.

Peter Windsor: "I would change nothing. I think F1 is fantastic as it is. If you want to watch a million meaningless overtaking maneuvers and lots of shunts go and watch NASCAR or bikes or IRL or something."
