I was recently playing F1 Championship Edition on PS3 and it got me wondering. Would Juan Pablo Montoya have been World Champion by now had he stayed in F1?

I reckon that he would have been. I thought he was a great driver but was just generally unlucky.

No way, Montoya was great in Indycars and good in Formula One. He was awesome 'on his day' but didn't have enough days to be consistent. Then again, he wasn't that much different to Kimi in a McLaren and Kimi won in 2007 so maybe, if all the cards went right in his direction. But I doubt it. I thought he was great to watch in Indycar and was disappointed to see he didn't get the same result in F1's but that one red Ferrari was pretty unbeatable in the championship battle at the time. Shame really.

Personally I wish Dario Franchitti had of made it to F1 cause I love those big side burns he's brought back to racing. Very Emerson Fittipaldi from the 70's. Plus Ashley Judd would be good to look at too from time time.

He was too much of a loose cannon in my opinion. I doubt he would have won it. Did you see him scrapping with another driver in Nascar this year?

Had a lot of talent but was inconsistent. He would have been chucked by McLaren anyway, Hamilton was coming through the ranks.
